Starting from 2004, I spent quite some time in Romania, working with several companies providing training and project coaching. While talking with many executives and academics in Romania, I realized that the Romanian industry is facing interesting challenges in the near future and that, in that regard, many improvements in cost, quality and delivery performance will be needed. Until now it seemed to me that the expertise necessary to achieve these results is not yet widely available to manufacturing people.

More than 13 years ago, I have founded a training and consulting company, providing education and project coaching in Belgium but also in many others countries in Europe and the US and Canada (Van Goubergen P&M gcv www.vangoubergen.com). I believe the time has now come, to do the same in Romania. Therefore I teamed up with some knowledgeable Romanian experts with proven industry experience who will be further trained and coached by me and my Belgian associates-consultants.

I am very proud to introduce to you the newly founded Romanian training and consulting company 'Center for Productivity Improvement'. Our mission is to disseminate knowledge about productivity improvement techniques and industrial engineering from a very practical point of view. We have much experience in Lean and Six Sigma training and projects.

It goes without saying that my newly founded organization can use all the knowledge, course materials and experience from all members of the sister company in Belgium, and this to its fullest extent. In that regard, depending on the assignment and the topic (training or project), we will make joint teams between our Romanian advisors and the Belgian
